Meet (just some of) Us

'The Cuban seems a slightly bizarre place to sit and think about Jesus; pictures of another controversial leader (Che Guevara) stare from the walls. But “el Che” is indisputably dead, whereas the eyewitness accounts regarding Jesus give details of his empty tomb and resurrection appearances. I first investigated the truth of these claims for myself in my thirties a few years ago, and found the case convincing. Going to The Moorgate Talks gives me the opportunity to think further about the claims Jesus makes, and I have become more certain that he is indeed the Son of God.'

'I work in a fast-paced, hectic and demanding environment. It’s not often when one can stop during the day to think about God and reflect on our lives. But that’s exactly what The Moorgate Talks provide for me – the chance to escape the office in the middle of the week and spend some time studying God’s word. I leave every lunchtime talk reinvigorated by the reminders of God’s power and the promises he has made to each of us. It is also a great opportunity to meet fellow Christians who work around the area.'

Hannah Pountain works at The Moorgate Talks
'I still feel quite new at The Moorgate Talks, I started working with the women here in September. I  am really excited about the opportunity to serve women working in the City. Being a Christian woman in the City is pretty demanding and putting Jesus and others first can be especially hard. Thats why I love to meet up with women to encourage them. It’s also been great getting to know many women who are looking into Christian things and trying to help them get to know Jesus more for themselves.'
