Women

There are a number of things for women to get involved in at The Moorgate Talks.

Wednesday lunch time talks in the Cuban at 1pm are the main weekly event we encourage everyone to prioritise. But as well as this for ladies only there are women's partnership groups. We have regular socials for anyone who would like to join us. We are also looking to establish prayer triplets all round the Moorgate area for women to get together in small groups and pray for one another in their workplaces.

If you are interested in reading the Bible with someone just one to one; whether you are a new Christian, just looking into things or have been a Christian for years, contact Hannah and she can put you in contact with someone. Many women across the City have found this setting a great way to grow in their relationship with God.

Women's partnership groups

Our women's partnership group aims to disciple Christian women in the workplace. Every Monday at 1pm we meet at The Cuban to go over a bit of the Bible and think about how it affects us as women working in the City. If you are interested in joining this group or would like more information please contact Kate McNab at kate.mcnab@cfbmethodistchurch.org.uk

Socials

If you feel like meeting new people or relaxing with old friends come along to the socials. Our aim is to have fun together and create an easy invite for people looking into Christian things to spend time with Christians.

Prayer triplets

At The Moorgate Talks we are passionate about people coming to know Jesus maybe for the first time, as well as encouraging each other in our Christian walks. The Bible says this is impossible without Gods help. So as Christians we understand that it is vital for us to ask God to help us if we are ever to reach our goal.  This is why we are planning to get together in 3s or 4s to pray for one another and opportunities at work.

Each group aims to

1.       Meet once a month. Schedule to meet in the first week of the month.  So that if this doesn’t work you can try for another day...and so on till you find a time that works.

2.       Only meet when all 3 members are there. This is an encouragement for all members to make it.

3.       Keep it evangelistic. The challenge for us girls who love to chat is to focus on doing business with God. Using the handout will help us to keep focused.

If you would like to join a prayer triplet in your area please contact: Hannah at hannah.pountain@themoorgatetalks.org
